Practice Manager/ Nursing Team Manager
Amanda is a qualified, registered veterinary nurse with a First Class Honours Degree from the University of the West of England. She began her training at Hartpury College, Gloucester in 2000, and joined Lake View Veterinary Centre in July 2012. She is also a qualified assessor and clinical coach enabling her to train student veterinary nurses in practice. She finds student training very rewarding and has an interest in anaesthesia and dental surgery.
Out of work Amanda has an interest in cars and motorsport, and maintains a Nissan Skyline imported from Japan. She also enjoys horse riding, music and socialising with friends.
Amanda has recently rescued a Jack Russell terrier called Rolley who loves visiting everyone at the practice.
Head Veterinary Nurse/ Qualified Veterinary Nurse
Emma joined Lake View Veterinary Centre in July 2016. She has been nursing since 2001 and during this time has worked in many different types of veterinary practice including several large referral hospitals. Emma is a clinical coach and enjoys training student veterinary nurses. Her main area of interest within practice is anaesthesia and theatre work.
Out of work Emma spends pretty much all of her spare time with her lovely horse, Whisper. She also has a cat called Trevor who she took on as a stray from a previous practice and after making himself at home very quickly, she just had to keep him!
Qualified Veterinary Nurse
Georgina joined the practice in February 2016 after qualifying from The College of Animal Welfare in Godmanchester as a Veterinary Nurse in November 2015. She enjoys laboratory work and is interested in medical nursing for inpatients, and would like to study hydrotherapy and train to be a clinical coach.
In her spare time Georgina likes to read and enjoys spending time with her family pets; Bailey, Maisie and Tess who are all Labradors.
Qualified Veterinary Nurse
Miriam joined the practice in September 2013 to start the Veterinary Nurse Level 3 Diploma at The College of Animal Welfare, Godmanchester. She completed her training at Lake View and registered as a qualified Veterinary Nurse in November 2015. She runs puppy parties at the practice and loves getting to know the puppies and their owners. She enjoys carrying out laboratory work and nurse consultations.
Miriam has a rescue cat called Chuck who was brought to the practice as a stray after being hit by a car. In her spare time she likes meeting up with friends and going to the cinema.
Insurance Claims Manager/Qualified Veterinary Nurse
Nicola is a registered Veterinary Nurse and deals with all of the insurance claims that come through the practice. She has worked in various roles since the age of 13 and qualified in 2008. Nicola has worked in mixed (farm animals) and exotic practices in Reading, Bedford and Peterborough before moving to the Oundle area with her husband and various pets. Nicola's passions in practice include exotics, laboratory and nutrition.
Outside of work Nicola enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband, cooking and looking after a wide range of animals including her cat, Maserati.
Student Veterinary Nurse
Jo joined Lake View Veterinary Centre as a student veterinary nurse under The College of Animal Welfare, Godmanchester in 2011. She made good progress with her training prior to going on maternity leave to have her first baby. Jo has recently had her second child and should be returning to complete her nursing qualification in 2014.
Jo has a Cocker Spaniel called Pushkin, and enjoys taking him for walks in the countryside.
